Google SketchUp models for SANAA and Walter Gropius.

Google SketchUp model for SANAA.

Sketch/idea

This model focuses on the lightness of the materials.  This is one of the major design principles of SANAA.

Google SketchUp animation 3.

Google SketchUp animation 2.

Media facade: ERCO P3 Automated Warehouse.

One of the main points of the model is the fluorescent light surrounding the facades of the upper workshop.  It would be quite interesting if the patterns of light changes from time to time.

Google SketchUp developed model.

Front facade of model.

Right facade of model.  One of my 36 textures is placed on the wall of the upper workshop.   Another texture is placed on the wall of the roof garden.

Back facade of model.  It is located in a urban landscape next to a road.

Left facade of model.

It can be seen that a set of stairs that I have previously developed is used to connect the gallery space and the upper workshop.

Another set of stairs that I have previously developed is used to connect the ground level and the lower workshop.  This set of stairs is suspended from the ceiling of the lower workshop.

Ai Weiwei's photography work Study of Perspective - Tiananmen is placed in the lower workshop.  Also, a texture is applied to the elevated level.

Louise Bourgeois' work The Fabric Works is located in the upper workshop.

There is no stairs to the roof garden.  It is only used to allow light absorption into the upper workshop through the roof windows.

The stairs connecting the ground level and the lower workshop is behind the gallery space.

4 sets of stairs.

This set of stairs is placed inside a hexangular tunnel built by hexagonal plates.  The use of a tunnel is intended to separate the stairs and the floor.

This design demonstrates the utilisation of the space under a set of stairs.  Stainless steel plates are welded together and attached beneath the stairs to make a bookshelf.  Also, cushions are added to the stairs to provide seating space.

This set of stairs' curved surface opposes to the conventional sharp, edgy stairs.

This set of stairs is connected to a semi-cylinder made of concrete, which is hanged from the ceiling instead of being attached to the floor.
